Adoptions
As the english pages are no longer getting updated please refer to the french side of this site for all dogs available for adoption!
Please send through feedback on any contact you have had with the refuge - good or bad! - by e-mail to the address on the 'How to contact us' page. This is invaluable to us
Adoption costs:
80€ for a male dog, tattooed or micro chipped and vaccinated
110€ for a female dog, tattooed or micro chipped, vaccinated and sterilized -no adult female leaves the refuge without been spayed !
** You are very welcome to cover more than the asked for adoption fees as they do not even nearly reflect the vet fees incurred
Please Note:
We are now required by law to have all dogs healthchecked by a vet when adopted which can obviously only be done when they are open. This could mean a delay in leaving with your chosen dog so please keep this in mind to avoid disappointment!

If you are looking for a good, docile, affectionate dog, a sweet big dog in great shape with a dynamique personality then you've found him! Doudou is always ready for a walk and walks well on the lead. Of couyrse life at the refuge means he doesn't get walked often so he wouyld be alot happier with you.
Due to staff not chasing up paperwork this beautiful boy has sat in his 8m2 pen for over a year waiting for his papers to come through so that he coule be put up for adoption. Please help him leave now! |
| VOXY - N° ID 2DWG089 A 5 year old male collie cross
Voxi is a very goodlooking dog and came to the refuge having been found in town with 3 broken ribs. He gets on well with other dogs and is very nice natured. As he is one of the many dogs we don't get a chance to excersise I don't have much more to write about him at this stage except to say come & see him and get to know him as he shouldn't be here!

Poor Viper was only 2 years old when he arrived at the refuge 3 years ago having been found in the ALDI parking filthy dirty & covered in mange. He is of medium build and as he's pretty active he needs some space. |

| UBA - N° ID 2DNK363 A 6 year old female Dalmatian cross Collie
Uba is a sweet & submissive dog which is just as well as her kennel mates bully her mercilessly. She has spent 5 of her 6 year life at the refuge having been dumped in a rubbish bin, thrown out like the rubbish! She looks shyer in the photo than she actually is as the other dogs were stopping her approaching me when I was taking the pictures. |

Sami is a nice, clean looking dog with a dignified look about him. He reminds me of 'UGO' who has just been adopted and who was one of my favourites! After 4 years behing bars with little or nothing in the way of creature comforts I think it's time he was rehomed. Come and see him for yourself. |

What a handsome boy! Can you imagine why anyone would just abandone a great dog like him? A little overweight what he really needs is a good home with a regular diet and very regular excersise. He is a very easy dog and gets on well with others. |
| UKY - N° ID 2ELT797 A 6 year old male labrador cross
As Uky was found and bought to the refuge we don't know his origins but he has now spent almost 4 years at the refuge. He is sweet and just waiting the right family. Uky is one of our 'lost' dogs - hidden away in one of the larger pens right at the bottom of the refuge. These dogs never get walked and probably enjoy 15 minutes a day of human company whilst getting fed & cleaned out! What a life.

Venus/aka URGGA is a sweet dog who just feels stressed at the life she is forced to lead, locked away all the time. She came to the refuge 3 years ago after having been abandoned by her owners. Another dog that gets forgotten about - lost amidst the 100 or more other dogs all desperately seeking homes. |

| TWIST - N° ID 250269800253176 A 7 year old male german shepherd cross
What a lovely dog! He looks older than his years and his face bears a few little battle scars where he's been picked on from time to time by various kennel mates. Twist is calm, sweet natured and just wants a good home. He has spent 6 of his 7 years at the refuge so really deserves to leave for a better life and would be a very rewarding companion! |
| TOPPS - N° ID 2C55959 A 7 year old male 'Braque d'Auvergne
Topps has been kennel mates with Twist for a fair while now but he'll be happy to say goodbye to his old friend if it means a happier, more comfortable life! As with all of his fellow inmates all he asks is kindness, affection, food and excercise . He arrived at 8 months old having been found in figeac so yet another great dog that deserves better than this! He is very nice, gets on well with others has some energy to burn off. |

Upie & her 2 brothers have spent all their lives at the refuge having been abandoned there as an unwanted litter 6 year ago. Others in their litter were found homes but Upie has not been one of the lucky ones! She doesn't look her best as she's probably never been groomed in her life but cleaned up and loved she would make a really nice pet. |
| ORION - N° ID 250269800891102 An 11 year old male 'Griffon Blue'
This really sweet dog was abandoned at least 4 years ago and has been at the refuge ever since. The likelyhood is that he was no good at hunting which is the usual reason the hunters dump them. He recently was used as a blood donor and helped save the life of another dog from the refuge which must surely deserve the reward of a nice new home!! |

Aly is a calm & gentle dog who was bought into the refuge 3 years ago having been abandoned down by the riverside in Figeac. He is a handsome dog who tries desperately to get your attention, begging for his chance at getting a good home! No problems getting on with other dogs. | |

Venus doesn't push herself forward! Perhaps overshadowed by her more boisterous & noisy kennel mates. She was found attached to the gates of the refuge. A typical occurence by cowardly owners who can't face justifying their actions!! Could you give her a chance at a happier life? |

Sultan is very calm and sweet and gets on well with all other dogs. He was found and bought to the refuge 8 years ago - a lifetime ago in his case ! Have you a good home for this gentle dog? |

This handsome & goodnatured dog would love a good home! He is calm, very sweet and gets on well with other dogs of both sexes. Sizewise he is the larger side of medium but as we all know, bigger dogs sometimes take up a lot less room than the little terrier types ! |

Poor Ulac has never lead a normal life as he was abandoned at the refuge with his brothers & sisters when they were pups. Their mum was dumped with them and Ulac was the only one never adopted. He has lived his whole life at the refuge but don't assume that makes it difficult to introduce them into your home environment as dogs are amazingly adaoptable ! We have seen dogs adapt after 11 years locked away in a pen. |

Perguy ! We don't have much of a story to tell here. The important thing is that she is a very sweet dog and a pretty example of a hunting dog. Very nice natured and she gets on with other dogs. |
| UGO - N° ID 250269800706266 A 6 year old male Border Collie cross
Ugo stands tall with wiry looking fur and always looks very proud and handsome. He was abandoned then adopted about 2 years ago by owners that didn't look after him and just left him outside in an unfenced garden to his own devises with the result that he kept running off. All dogs need to be kept an eye on and need attention and company. He is a nice dog but we don't know what he's like with children. |

Andy is a very unusual looking dog and reminds me of one of the muppets! He is really eye catching and size wise is medium/large. He has lived 2 of his 4 years at the refuge after been found on the side of the road with 3 broken legs after been thrown out of a moving car. Luckily he has healed perfectly and why he doesn't hold a grudge against us humans I really don't know!!! |

| BILBO - N° ID 250269800959874 a 3yr old male Griffon This scruffy coated young dog has lived the whole of his 3 years at the refuge! He was found abandoned somewhere, bought to the refuge where he has just got lost amongst the crowd. He is very nice natured and gets on well with all other dogs. He is medium sized and I'm sure would be very appreciative of a decent home.

| COLL - No ID 250269500218636 A two year old male Collie cross Setter Coll is a great dog who is very beautiful, very affectionate, highly intelligent and seeking a good home with plenty of space. He needs someone with a very firm, but kind, hand as he is dominant and has to understand his place in the pack. Once the pecking order is established you'll end up with a dog that gets on well with other dogs, that walks well on the lead but who for now has a nasty habit of chasing cars/bikes which dog trainers say can be resolved if you have the time, patience and knowledge to do so. Preferably no small children due to his dominant character!

| ULMER - No ID 2DKC664 A 5 year old male Springer Spaniel cross Griffon
Though Ulmer is a hunting breed he would make a very good pet but these dogs don't cohabite very well with other dogs so he would be better off as the only dog in a new home. He came to the refuge with his mother when he was just 2 months old so has lived there all his life - 5 years! He has been neutered already. |
| UTAH - No ID 2CLB269 A 5 year old female Epagnol Breton
Utah (also known as Tess) is a hunting dog but would make a great family pet as do her breed generally. She hasn't been at the refuge too long as she only arrived in July this year (2008) but as with all our dogs the sooner we can rehome her the better for her. Ths picture does make her look as though she has a slight snarl on her face but this is not at all the case! |

What a lovely young dog! He has been at the refuge since been abandoned as a very young puppy so has never known a home of his own. Very friendly and affectionate he would be a great pet. Drake has not been neutered. |
| SLIM - N° ID 2BPT232 An 8 year old male lab/retriever cross
Slim has spent 7 and a half years, almost all his life, at the refuge! He was found caught by his rear foot in a trap made from bike brake cables and had to have some of his toes amputated as a result. He's a lively, bright dog and not too big! |
| TRACY - N° ID 250269700059194 6 and a half year old female fox terrier
Tracy is very sweet and no trouble at all to have around as long as you don't have any cats! She doesn't really like them and whilst she gets on with most other dogs she can be fussy/choosy about who she befriends. She was found and bought to the refuge 2.5yrs ago so she should be moving on now - she's more than served her time! |

We don't know very much about his past as Cassis was just found and bought to the refuge when he was very young. He is a very nice dog and gets on well with other dogs. Sorry about the photo but in all of his pictures any facial features are lost in the darkness of his coat! |

Abyss has only been at the refuge a year so is not considered one of our longterm 'inmates'! She was found either lost or abandoned in Figeac and has never been claimed. She gets on well with other dogs and is very good & nice. |

Syros looks pretty young for his age but is 8 years old and has acutually spent 7 years of that time looked up at the refuge - for what crime? It is time for this very nice dog to move on and away to a better life.

| BROWNIE - N° ID 250269500221393 A 2 year old male Griffon C
Brownie seems none the worse for his poor start in life! He was left attached to the gates of the refuge, dumped as he was ill and whoever had had him (thought to be the gypsys) didn't want to or couldn't deal with him. His mouth was full of abscesses and he was a real mess but now, having been well cared for and well fed, he would make a good hunting dog or companion. Very handsome, very friendly and full of life! |
| BETTY - N° ID 2FHF355 Female 2 & a 1/2 years old - Griffon cross We've only just discovered Betty, hidden down amongst all the hunting dogs and other longterm inmates! She is adorable! Shy but really affectionate and she won't leave your side. She will stick by your side even off the lead so if the idea of adopting a 'hunting breed' worries you then don't worry here as she won't hunt! ADOPTED ADOPTED ADOPTED |

DJASON is an adorable dog, very sweet and affectionate. He has only recently left a loving family environment and his owners were distraught at having to give him up but had no choice as he wouldn't settle in with their horses, had been kicked badly twice and had then started biting them. So NO HORSES!! He is very calm, well trained and intelligent. He gets on well with other dogs and loves kids. He is too good to stay here long and deserves better so hurry - come and meet him! Elton hasn't been at the refuge long and is a lovely baby, playful and dynamique like most pups. He is very docile and gets on well with other dogs. It is so important that pups leave the refuge as quickly as possible and life here is hard for them with barely any walks, no comforts and not much love (due to lack of time and people). He hasn't a clue why he is here! Locked up in a stressful environment. Come and se him, take him for a walk and let him charm you! |

Yet another victim of a house move! They move house, take their furniture but leave their dog - unbelievable! TEQUILA is very cute, very sweet and affectionate though still a little bit scared at having been dumped in such a stressful place. She hasn't a clue what has happened and why she's here! Why her 2 legged best friends have just left her. She comes well on command, she's pretty calm and loves been stroked and loved. |

DARIUS - N° ID 250269500187723 Labrador cross - 18 month old male Having arrived at the refuge aged 2 months only this big, beautiful dog should have left for a new and better life ages ago. All his brothers and sisters left but poor Darius never had a chance. All he wants is fun, games, walks and love and the refuge is really not the place for him!

| PETER - N° ID ZAV342 10 year old male labrador What a love of a dog! He is big and kind and loves everyone and everything and is always in good spirits. A little overweight but what do you expect for a 10 year old dog who never gets any exercise and eats food that is really not the best for him! You could give him a better end in life, he would love you, protect you and would lose some excess weight whilst walking with you daily. |

| ROXANE - N° ID 2FFB849 An 8 year old Border Terrier cross Over a year ago Roxanne left the refuge to live with a lovely old lady, unfortunately, the old lady has died, her family want nothing to do with their relatives faithful friend and have dumped poor Roxane back with us! Same old story. She is a lovely dog, obedient, sweet and full of love. Poor thing probably doesn't even realise that her mistresse will never come back for her! |
| ZOE - N° ID 967000000911166 A 2 year old, longhaired femaleTeckel Pretty Zoe - lively, playful and talkative... ZOE is a real little "lady", gracious, intelligent, full of charm but careful ! ZOE, like all teckels, has character! Like most little dogs she will be very protective of her own 'space' be that a car , garden or home. She is not at all agressive but to see her throwing herself at the window can look off putting! She will make a very loving and loyal compagnion as she is very affectionate and will love her owners unreservadly. She gets on well with other dogs but will need a well fenced in garden. |
